Speaker Carl Heastie Implements Sanctions Against
Assemblymember Danny O'Donnell

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie today announced that he is immediately implementing sanctions recommended by the bipartisan Assembly Ethics and Guidance Committee concerning the conduct of Assemblymember Danny O’Donnell.

After a full investigation, the Ethics Committee found that:

Based on the report and testimony, and given Member O’Donnell’s admirable career, lack of prior violations, and demonstrated contrition, a majority of the Committee recommends that: Member O’Donnell be ordered to undergo retraining on the Policy Prohibiting Harassment, Discrimination and Retaliation and what conduct constitutes a violation thereof.

Speaker Heastie accepts the full recommendations of the committee.
