The Legislature provides a total of $2,300,000 in additional funding to the Department of Economic Development. This additional funding will partially restore the Executive’s proposed elimination of fueling for operating support to the local administrators of the Empire Zone Program. |

The Legislature denies the Executive’s proposal to combine the “I Love New York” Tourism Marketing Program with the Local Tourism Matching Grant Program and restores $5,777,000 to the Local Tourism Matching Grant Program. The Legislature provides $7,400,000 in funding for the “I Love New York” Tourism Marketing Program, reflecting a decrease of $1,300,000 from State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2002-03 funding levels. |
