The Health Center Program, Health Resources & Services Administration
The Health Center Program seeks to improve health in underserved populations and communities throughout the United States. The U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration is currently accepting grant applications for its Health Center Program through the Service Area Competition (SAC). All announced service areas are currently served by Health Center Program grantees whose project periods are ending in FY 2013.
Health centers must serve an announced service area as defined by the HRSA in order to be eligible to receive funds. All individuals in the service area must be given access to the center; for example, applicants cannot serve a single age group or a specific disease category.
-
Eligibility: Public or nonprofit private entities, such as tribal, faith-based, or community-based organizations that propose to serve an announced service area.
More information, including the available service areas, is available at www.hrsa.gov/grants/apply/assistance/SAC/.
