PROGRAM INFORMATION

POPULATION SERVED:
|
In-school and out-of-school low-income youth with
barriers to employment (up to 5 percent of the youth serviced do not
have to meet the income eligibility requirements)
|
SERVICES PROVIDED:
|
Ten required program elements, including academic,
occupational skills training, employment opportunities and
supportive services must be made available to youth participants
|

The 33 Workforce Investment Act Local Areas in New York
State, who, in most instances, must subcontract to providers of
employment and training services.
