LEGISLATIVE ACTION
The Legislature provides an additional $642,000 to continue the purchase of stab
resistant gloves for correction officers and an additional $330,000 to restore
seven positions at special housing units. The Legislature concurs with the
Executive's request to provide $250,000 for a new Correctional Services Asset
Forfeiture Account.
Article VII
The Legislature approves the Executive Article VII legislation which extends the
Merit Time Program and provisions related to Prisoner Litigation Filing Fees
until September 1, 2003.
